A escola perante a leitura

Abstract
O texto tematiza a questão da leitura na escola, tomando-a como uma operação intelectual que ultrapassa o ato mecânico de identificar o escrito. A autora argumenta que o grande desafio posto à escola é romper com as práticas de leitura em que o ato de ler está submetido a mecanismos de decifração. Isso exige da escola, adotar como princípio norteador das práticas de leitura, a integração entre ensino, aprendizagem e desenvolvimento, de maneira que as ações do ensino possam desencadear uma atividade reflexiva que permita à criança avançar em suas estratégias de questionamento da escrita.
