Abstract
This text presents a dialogue on the challenges faced by the childhood school in the context of the covid-19 pandemic. Our objective is to discuss some paradoxes that have emerged in the current condition of life of children and their families, seeking to present some reflections on the new challenges for Early Childhood Education. These reflections, brought by the look of three teacher-researchers (GARCIA, 2008) of the children who work in public equipment for early childhood education in the eastern region of Rio de Janeiro and who have ethnography as the main methodology of their research. In dialogue with some authors such as López (2018), Kohan (2018), Zago (2000), Harvey (2020), our reflexive paths were being built, face a time of so many uncertainties.
