Freirian educational thought: humanist and liberating perspectives
Main Article Content
Abstract
The Freirean educational thought mobilizes us to reflect on dialogical education, teaching knowledge and problematizing teaching methodologies, which inspire us to think, feel and act in search of humanization, life and the liberation of men and women. The purpose of this article is to present some nuances of Paulo Freire's thought, elucidating the liberating and humanistic perspectives of his pedagogy. The results of the reflections show that knowing, revisiting and/or reinventing Freire's ideas are essential practices for those who believe that dialogical education is fundamental to the processes of recreating a more just, inclusive, welcoming, generous and sustainable world.
