Abstract
Este texto é resultado de estudos e pesquisas realizadas como supervisora escolar, a fim de conseguirmos melhor compreensão da gestão escolar, quando da realização de uma disciplina, como aluna especial no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação, em nível de Mestrado da Universidade Estadual de Ponta Grossa. Tem como finalidade provocar professores e diretores de escolas a refletirem sobre o tipo de administração existente na instituição em que trabalham. Contém algumas reflexões sobre a tradição funcionalista de administração e sobre a concepção democrática-participativa de gestão.
