Abstract
O presente artigo tem como objetivo atentar para a qualidade de vida docente no Ensino Superior, em face a determinadas condições histórico-culturais do mundo do trabalho influentes no seu processo de construção, especialmente, a partir da modernidade. Considerando que inúmeros estudos são realizados sobre a qualidade do ensino no Brasil, mas que ainda pouca importância é dada á qualidade de vida do professor, apresenta-se os resultados de uma pesquisa realizada com 50 professores de uma universidade pública e outra privada, de Curitiba-PR. Este estudo possibilitou verificar aspectos comprometidos da qualidade de vida desses docentes e, então, comprometedores a sua prática pedagógica, já que a pessoa e o profissional são indissociáveis.
