Abstract

The pandemic resulting from the spread of the Covid-19 virus has transformed the lifestyles of citizens by influencing different areas of society and particularly education. The school has almost necessarily moved to virtual spaces and the use of digital technologies in school processes is inevitable. The purpose of this document is to reflect on the impact that this change can have on the quality of mathematics teaching; subject that has been considered by students as a field with high levels of difficulty for learning. We present some ways in which digital tools have been underused, without taking into account the research studies that support their importance in the development of mathematical thinking. We conclude that the mathematical educator must rethink his practices in relation to technology, since it will remain even in times of post pandemic.
