Abstract

This work presents a critical review of the book - Aquatic activities: a look at teaching,
written by Guilherme Tucher and Márcia Fajardo, which represents a fundamental work for those
seeking an in-depth understanding of the teaching and learning of water sports.
This educational book offers a complete dive into the world of water activities, standing out
for its careful and comprehensive pedagogical approach, dedicated to teachers.

Doctor in Exercise and Sport Sciences from the State University of Rio de Janeiro,
Master in Exercise and Sport Sciences, Specialist in Sports Administration and Marketing
from Gama Filho University. Graduated in Capoeira, Physical Education and Business Administration.
Substitute Professor at the Institute of Physical Education and Sports at UERJ. Swimming Teacher at Rioaquatics.
Member of BASis for external evaluations of institutions, authorization and recognition of SINAES courses by INEP.
Leader of the Management, Sport, Culture and Leisure Research Group (GPGEL) and member of the School, Sport and Culture
Research Group (GPEEsC), both registered with CNPq. Member of the Brazilian Sports Management Association (ABRAGESP). Capoeira's professor.

 

Marina Cocco Faria, Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro - UERJ

Undergraduate student in Physical Education, at the Institute of Physical Education and Sports (IEFD),
at the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ). Swimming trainee at Rio Aquátics.

Doutorando Caio Serpa, Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro - UFRJ

PhD student in Physical Education at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ).
Master's degree in Physical Education. Graduated in Physical Education from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ).
He was a swimming professor-scholar in the extension project at the State University of Rio de Janeiro,
coordinated by professor Doctor Silvio Telles. Approved and classified for the public competition
for Teacher I of physical education of the Municipal Education Department (SME) of the city of Rio de Janeiro-2016.
Member of the School, Sport and Culture Research Group (GEPEEsC) and the Vitor Marinho Study and Research Group.
He has experience in the area of ​​Physical Education with an emphasis on the following topics: swimming, water polo, history of sport, school physical education, interpretations and applicability of Marxist theory.
