Abstract

Review of the book "History and Prehistory: investigating the uses of these concepts in History Textbooks” by Luiz Adriano Lucena Aragão and published in 2020 by Editora Fi. The work presents results of his master's thesis within the scope of the Postgraduate Program in Social History of Regional Culture at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE).

Me. Jonas Clevison Pereira de Melo Junior, Rural Federal University of Pernambuco - UFRPE

Master's in Social History of Regional Culture from the Postgraduate Program in History at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (PGH / UFRPE), Postgraduate student in Specialization in Teaching (Emphasis on Basic Education) from the Federal Institute of Minas Gerais (Campus Arcos) and Graduated in Full Degree in History from the same institution (UFRPE / 2021). He is currently a member of the Study and Research Group on the History of Health Practices and Diseases (GEPHPSD), linked to CNPq through the Federal University of Pará (UFPA). He served as a member of the Archaeological Teaching and Research Center (NEPARQ / UFRPE / 2016-2022). He has already carried out research as an Academic Initiation scholarship holder, with a scholarship granted by the Foundation for the Support of Science and Technology of Pernambuco (BIA-FACEPE-UFRPE / 2016-2017) and a Scientific Initiation scholarship, with scholarships granted by the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (PIBIC-CNPq-UFRPE / 2017-2018) / (PIBIC-CNPq-FUNDAJ) / 2020-2021). He also worked as a Teaching Initiation scholarship at the Minister Jarbas Passarinho State School (Camaragibe-PE), with a scholarship granted by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (PIBID-CAPES-UFRPE / 2018-2020), and an intern at Memorial Chico Science , with a grant granted by the Fundação de Cultura Cidade do Recife of the City of Recife (FCCR - PCR / 2019 - 2020). He works in the areas of History and Historical Archeology, with an emphasis on History of Health and Diseases in the imperial period and Archaeological Heritage of Health, researching the following themes: material culture; diseases and epidemics; Health, hygiene and body; healing arts and illnesses.

Dr.ª Ana Lúcia do Nascimento Oliveira, Rural Federal University of Pernambuco - UFRPE

Graduated in History from the Federal University of Pernambuco (1982), master's degree in History from the Federal University of Pernambuco (1990) and PhD in History from the Federal University of Pernambuco (2001). He is currently a retired associate professor at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco, adjunct professor at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco. He is a member of the Archaeological Teaching and Research Center _ NEPARQ at UFRPE. She is an effective member of SAB- Sociedade de Arqueologia Brasileira and SAB Regional Nordeste. Member of the Brazilian Association of Rock Art - ABAR. He has experience in the area of History, with an emphasis on History, Memory and Heritage, working mainly on the following themes: history and heritage, history of Pernambuco, history of colonial Brazil, archeology of Northeast Brazil and historical archeology.

Me. Jaime de Lima Guimarães Junior, Rural Federal University of Pernambuco - UFRPE

Master's in Social History of Regional Culture at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE) - CAPES scholarship holder with the research: "Catimbau National Park: a heritage. And the community?", Graduated in History (UFRPE), Research Professor, Historian under Professional Registration (ME) - 0000011/PE associated with the National History Association - Pernambuco Section (ANPUH - PE), Brazilian History Teaching Research Association (ABEH), Brazilian Rock Art Association (ABAR), Brazilian Archeology Association (SAB), Brazilian Society for the Progress of Science (SBPC). Member of the Research Group at CNPq "Production of space, metropolization and rural-urban relationship" in the Research Line: "Spatial dynamics in rural and urban", of the Research Group at CNPq "Researchers Network - Itineraries of Geographical Education ( RePEG)" in the Research Line "Didactic mediation that develops skills and competencies: a school reality?", from the Recife Studies and Teaching Laboratory (RecLab) and the Manuel Correia de Andrade Chair at UFRPE. He is also technical editor of Revista Rural Urbano (UFPE and UFRPE), consultant at Instituto Ouricuri (Alagoinha - PE) and student on the Bachelor's degree in Architecture and Urbanism at the Faculty of Human Sciences ESUDA (FCHE) in Recife - PE.
